Sasha (Alexander Paul Coe) was born in Bangor, Wales in 1969 and began DJing at acid house raves in the north-west of England in the late 1980s, earning a residency at the Hacienda in Manchester and later at Shelley's in Stoke-on-Trent. His partnership with John Digweed produced some of the most celebrated DJ mix albums of the 1990s, including Renaissance: The Mix Collection and the Northern Exposure series, helping to define progressive house as a global sound. Sasha has released original music and EPs on his own labels, including Excession Records and Last Night on Earth, and his Xpander EP remains one of the era's most recognised productions. He recorded an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 and has performed at festivals and clubs across the world for over three decades.
