Paul Hazendonk was born near Rotterdam and developed an early passion for electronic music after discovering the Mysteryland festival as a child. He spent formative years working at the renowned Rotterdam record store Basic Beat, before founding Manual Music in 2005, a label that has grown into one of the Netherlands' most respected electronic music imprints. His 2014 debut album 'Adapt' and the follow-up 'Signed' in 2019 showcased his range as a producer, with collaborations including Sian Evans of Kosheen and spoken word artist The Lazarusman. Hazendonk's sound sits at the deeper, melodic end of progressive house, and Manual Music has expanded to include multiple sub-labels and a distribution arm. He played at The Prog Lab's Summer Party at Stokes Croft Beer Garden, Bristol, on 31st August 2019.
