Jody Barr is a Welsh DJ and producer who grew up listening to Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He had a breakout year in 2015 and has released on James Zabiela's Born Electric imprint, Sasha's Last Night On Earth label, and Krankbrother. He launched his own Portable Minds imprint in 2016 with the Culture Vulture EP, and further releases included the Erotic Sally EP in 2017 and the Lavender Fields EP in 2019. That same year, Sasha named him a new name to watch on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show. He has performed at fabric's Room 1, Space Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, and Bunker in Derry. His sound sits between house and techno, driven by heavy percussion and analogue warmth.
