Hicky & Kalo are a Montreal-based duo who met while studying electronic music at the University of Montreal, both bringing classical music training to their productions. As residents at Stereo Montreal and founders of the Plaisirs Sonores Records imprint, they have become key figures in the North American underground progressive scene. Their releases have appeared on Sudbeat, Replug, and their own label, with their 2023 collaboration with Hernán Cattáneo titled 'Voyage' reaching number one on the Beatport Progressive House chart. Their sound draws on deep, melodic textures and has attracted remixes and collaborations from artists including Nick Warren, Rodriguez Jr., and Soul Button.
