Gorge is the alias of Pit Waldmann, a German DJ and producer based in Mannheim whose artist name derives from the Columbia River Gorge windsurfing location. He is the founder of 8bit Records and has released on labels including Mobilee, Diynamic, Knee Deep in Sound, Systematic and Freerange, building a substantial catalogue of deep and tech-house with timeless production values. His debut album Mood was released in 2010 to strong reviews, and he was nominated as one of Beatport's top five deep and tech-house artists the same year. He has performed at venues including Watergate in Berlin, Rex in Paris, Cielo in New York, Space in Ibiza and Cargo in London.
