Gai Barone

Gai Barone is a Sicilian DJ and producer who was drawn into music through an eclectic background spanning classical, hip-hop and the early Italian house scene, and began DJing in 1990. After spells in Germany and the UK, he committed fully to studio production in 2008 and signed to Plastic Angel's Afterglow imprint, where his track 'Lilith' received a five-out-of-five 'Money Shot' review in DJ Magazine and became a Beatport breakout. His music has subsequently appeared on Armada, Perfecto, Hope Recordings, JOOF and Bonzai, and receives support from Armin van Buuren, Nick Warren, Paul van Dyk and Max Graham. His sound draws from progressive house and trance, built around rich melodic layers and detailed production craft.
