DJ Ruby

DJ Ruby has been active in electronic music since the early 1990s and is one of the central figures in Malta's underground dance scene, having run the Pure Promotions events series and held a decade-long residency with the Renaissance brand throughout the 2000s. In 2018 he deliberately rebranded to pursue a wider progressive house career, and his productions and remixes have since appeared on Global Underground, Balance, Warung Recordings, Mango Alley, Univack, Droid9, SLC-6 Music, and Freegrant Music. Two of his curated compilations reached number one on Beatport's Progressive Album chart: Constellations: Orion on SLC-6 Music and Augmented on Mango Alley. Over the course of his career he has shared bills with Faithless, The Prodigy, Carl Cox, Sasha, John Digweed, and Hernán Cattáneo, and played at Timewarp, Tomorrowland Unite, and Creamfields.
